If my memory serves, the third photo was taken possibly in 1983. When
Luo Xiaolin visited us from
Australia and we visited Xiangshan (or Yiheyuan). I remembered that I
visited Jinhui at his work place
for asking him to join. We possibly took the photo before leaving
Tshinghua. The girl on the right is
Liu Wei's dance partner.

Xiaolin should give more accurate time because he met his wife during
that visit. Xiaolin, please forgive me
if it is not right or it is too private to be mentioned here.

1984 was more likely. I went to Australia in 1983, it was unlikely I had the money to come back in the same year (was on A$300/per month). My Sydney Uni postgraduate scholarship started in 1984.

So the last time I saw both Guowei and Xiaoqing was in 1984, not 1982. Photos beat memory again. Yes, Ruixin was right, we went to Xiangshan, and I remember Shouyan recently supplied a photo showing us dancing.

Maybe because I met my future wife for the first time then, everything else was a blur, so I might be wrong about time and place.

Xiaoli's email recalls more memory. Right now, I am sure it was in the
fall of 1984 because I met my wife in that period.
