The Public Health Association of BC (PHABC) is inviting you to support our exploration of youth volunteerism in the Surrey food system!
Promotional posters are accessible in the links below:

PHABC is recruiting youth aged 15 to 25 who want to share their experiences with food-based volunteering (e.g., food growing or distribution, cooking, etc.) within Surrey.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the factors that support or hinder youth volunteerism in the food system, as this will help to inform how organizations can work to ensure all youth have access to meaningful opportunities to contribute to their community.
The exploration activities include:
  • 15-20 minute online survey
  • 1.5 hour virtual focus group
  • 1-hour virtual youth-to-youth interview
Participants can choose to participate in all of the activities, or they can select the ones they are most interested in.

Sign up for an account on PlaceSpeak to access the survey here:  https://www.clkmg.com/PHA_BC/RUSS

The survey is conducted on PlaceSpeak, which uses a unique geo-verification process which connects participants’ digital identity to their physical location to ensure data is coming from real, relevant people. Users’ personal information is never sold, exchanged, transferred, or given. PlaceSpeak is used and trusted by all levels of government, both nationally and internationally.

If you are interested or have any questions, please email the Community Food Systems Analyst at phan...@phabc.org.

Thank you! 🍂
