Hello Farm to School Surrey Region,
I hope this email finds you well and that you are having a fantastic summer! Can you believe August is just around the corner?!
I am excited to announce that Farm to School BC is currently hiring for three animator positions across the province, including my position in Surrey. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of being part of this incredible community, learning about school food initiatives within Surrey and throughout the province. Witnessing the collaborative efforts of the entire community to bring local food to schools, offer hands-on learning opportunities and foster connections has been truly inspiring! With the feeding futures funding on its way, I have no doubt that the Surrey region will make amazing progress. The collective efforts of parents, educators, and community partners are sure to create an innovative and powerful program to continue to support school food programs.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for this role, the deadline to submit applications is August 10th, 2023. I have attached the job posting here for your convenience. Additionally, we are also hiring animators in the Capital (Vancouver Island) and Vancouver regions. If you know of any colleagues or friends that would be interested, please see the blurb below for more information. Should you have any questions or need more information about the Surrey region position, please feel free to reach out at surrey...@farmtoschoolbc.ca.
While this does end my time with the F2S program, I am excited to continue my work within PHABC and Surrey food systems, now in my full-time role at Can You Dig It. I hope our paths will keep crossing and I would love to stay connected. Feel free to reach out to me at angelin...@phabc.org
Wishing you all a wonderful summer and all the best as the new school year approaches!
Best Regards,
Angelina
