Hi all!

Camp Fresh Roots is nearly here, and we have some great opportunities still available for folks to get involved!

Job Opportunity!

We have an unexpected opening on our camp team! Do you know a younger person looking for summer work (ages 17-30, and a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or with refugee status) who loves working with kids, spending time outside, making and eating great food, and sharing the wonder of the world with others? The camp position is full time, (M-F, 8:30-5:00) now through September 2. More details are on our website at freshroots.ca/jobs

Camp spaces!

We also have spaces remaining in a few of our South Vancouver camps, especially our August camps for kids ages 9-12. Camp wait lists are also turning over fairly quickly (especially for camps in August). Camp Fresh Roots weeks including tending, harvesting, and cooking farm fresh foods, games, crafts, and so much fun! Learn more and register at freshroots.ca/camp

Fresh Roots Before Sunset Fundraiser

And on a slightly different note, we'd love to invite you to our annual fundraiser!

Once again we are mixing things up for our biggest fundraiser of the year. We aren't quite ready for a sit-down long table dinner with hundreds of people but mingling IN PERSON outdoors at the schoolyard farm on a balmy late afternoon/evening sounds just right!
We'd love it if you'd join us to eat, drink, connect, listen to live music, try out some farm-based education activities, and take in the beauty of a schoolyard farm in all its summer splendour!

See more details at the link below

Have a wonderful summer, and we hope to see you on the farm!

How to Acknowledge the Land

If we want children to flourish, to become truly empowered, then let us allow them to love the Earth before we ask them to save it. - David Sobel
