Hello Northwest Community,

Please see the following events and opportunities provided by F2SBC and other organizations this month promoting food literacy, healthy eating, and food security.

Early Bird Registration for F2SBC Conference
Farm to School BC is hosting it's first annual conference, Planting the Seed: Harvesting connections, ideas, and community on
May 18th & 19th at the UBC Nest in Vancouver. You can register now to avoid missing out on our early bird prices, ending March 15th!
Our conference aims to celebrate the impact of both budding and established school food initiatives and programs, welcome diverse perspectives to share their experiences and knowledge, and generate within our community a revitalized sense of connectedness and empowerment.
This event marks Farm to School BC’s first ever conference which will convene a diverse group of food champions who are working to bring more healthy, local, and sustainable foods to the minds and plates of students in K-12 schools across BC. We hope you will enjoy us in being inspired by fellow food-literacy champions!

Northern Indigenous Food Ways: Learning Circle Series
Julian Napoleon - Indigenous Plant Knowledge: working with our plant relatives
Join us in the final session of this series presented to provide an opportunity for educators within the K-12 education system in gaining or advancing skills and knowledge to apply Indigenous food ways and teachings within their food literacy curriculums and projects. This virtual event is open to everyone. Register through F2SBC's Eventbrite page.
