Hello,

My name is Roanne and I would like to introduce myself as the new Community Animator who will be supporting the North West Hub. I am very excited to be in this position and to connect, learn and support the North West.

I am also going into my third year as the Community Animator for the North Central Hub and am looking forward to opportunities where collaboration, projects and programs may cross-pollinate to benefit the northern context.

I will be reaching out and connecting to the schools, communities and organizations of the North West Hub to continue the great work of the North West Community Animators before me. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions and for Farm to School BC Animator support at northwe...@farmtoschoolbc.ca

For a little about me:

I am a farmer and local food system enthusiast, who lives, works and grows on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation, in Prince George, BC. Having studied in health sciences, I shifted from clinical health to focus on the community health, dedicating myself to food security and local food initiatives. I am part operator and farmer of the Three Seeds Farm, growing produce for Prince George using earth-friendly and regenerative methods. I am also part of the Everyone At The Table Collective focused on bringing the Prince George community together around the local food landscape to illuminate strengths and empower collaborative, closer-to-home solutions that enhance local food security, health and independence, and the local food community.
