Connecting, Support & Upcoming Fall Opportunities

Hello,

I hope you had a lovely summer! Back to school season and a great time to reconnect around food literacy opportunities at your school and how Farm to School BC (F2SBC), and myself as the North Central Community Animator, can support your projects and success. 

First off, some exciting upcoming opportunities!

- September 20th: Join us for our School Garden Mentorship Workshop on harvesting and seed saving. Sign up here!

- F2SBC fall grants: Launching in October - will keep you posted!

How I can be a resource to your success: Sharing resources & curriculum connections, grant support, networking & events, hands-on engaging at your school, project & how-to's support, connecting to community.

Meet, Share & Engage:

- 1-on-1 Meeting: with your school & team to share and identify how I can support 

- School visit to:

    - present on F2SBC and my role as an animator

    - Celebrate your projects with yourself and your students (and if desired see how I can support sustainability & growth of projects and new ideas)

    - help lead a lesson plan / workshop with your school/class

Project & Grant/Funding Support: 

- Sharing & assisting in accessing F2SBC Grants https://farmtoschoolbc.ca/grants/ 

- Seeking & grant writing support for external grants: can be in-school projects, district wide focus projects, and/or school-community collaborative projects, funds for programs (such as field trips).

Networking & Events:

- Pro-D day presentations: can shape topics and interests to feedback from you/the community

- Learning Circle: to create space for networking, sharing of stories throughout the region, sharing resources, identifying and discussing barriers, opportunties, and needs. 

- Work-bees: I can assist in organizing and supporting garden/project work-bees!
