The Future Ground Prize returns for a special youth edition!

Hello Samantha,

Despite the ongoing pandemic, nothing is stopping younger generations from creating a just and eco-responsible society.

Along with hundreds of committed citizens, youth are taking action by establishing green initiatives in their communities.

Whether it’s through a student mobilization, a group that works to protect a territory, local projects such as a solidarity garden or a zero-waste initiative, young people are shaping the Ontario and British Columbia of tomorrow and encouraging people to join them.

To celebrate the commitment of new generations, the Future Ground Prize is debuting a special youth edition on March 14 in Ontario and British Columbia!

The prize: up to $5,000 offered by Desjardins, as well as great visibility and media outreach throughout Ontario and B.C.

Are you a passionate youth group with an environmental initiative? Or do you know of a youth group near you? Get ready! On March 14, 2022, please submit your application for the Future Ground Prize!

The David Suzuki Foundation’s Future Ground Prize will be accepting applications from March 14 through April 10 this year.

Stay tuned for the launch!

Talk to your local municipal governments, student council associations or any local grassroots organizations. Think about your impact, your community, your story. We can't wait to hear from you!

Thank you to the Desjardins Group and Nature’s Way for their support!

See you soon,

David Suzuki Team in Ontario and British Columbia
