Save the date! Farm To School BC in partnership with SPARC BC is excited to share news that we will be hosting a professional development day for teachers and community partners interested, working towards, and refining their school farms.
School farms are a unique and exciting outdoor learning space for students and teachers to:
- Develop life-long food growing skills
- Create occupational training initiatives
- Build leadership, management, and community engagement opportunities
- Provide safe, nurturing learning spaces
- Create a stream of healthy, sustainable fruits and vegetables for your school and community
This workshop will be a full day on Friday, October 21st at Reynolds Secondary School in Victoria, BC. Sessions will include support for curriculum alignment, sharing promising practices, and much more! If interested, please add your name to the sign up and further information will be sent to you in September to register!
