Farmer Wanted for the Central Island Region

The Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools District is excited to be launching a school farm at Woodlands Secondary and is looking for a farmer with shared values and interests to lead the farm’s food production. This is a unique opportunity where a farmer will work to co-create a farm with the school district including decisions on infrastructure development. A chosen farmer will be able to sell the produce grown to the school district and broader community and can involve students in seasonal farm activities. The site is located in the heart of Nanaimo, BC with dedicated 5,000 sq ft of school district land to grow on. Interested? Learn more here.
