F2SBC is now accepting grant applications until November 15th.

Farm to School BC (F2SBC) is thrilled to introduce two grant opportunities designed to support K-12 schools across what is currently known as British Columbia in developing their school food programs. Our goal is to help more schools and communities come together around exploring, growing, harvesting, cooking, eating and celebrating foods.

Grant Opportunities:

  • The 1K ($1,000) is perfect for initiating smaller-scale projects or making minor enhancements and/or additions to existing programs. We expect these projects to have shorter timelines (Jan 2024 – Oct 2024) and relatively smaller end goals.
  • The 3K ($3,000) is ideal for larger, more elaborate projects that require a clear vision, extended timelines (Jan 2024 – May 2025), and thorough planning to complete. These projects typically involve active engagement from the school community, student participation, and support from various community stakeholders.

Our Commitment to Communities:

A total of 30 grants will be distributed this year across the province with a priority of 50% of all funding dedicated to support rural, remote and First Nations schools. We hope to bring more farm to school (also known as Food to School, Land to School, Sea to School) initiatives into these communities, so please apply or recommend these grants to schools in your area.

Application Details:

Apply by November 15th, 11:59 pm PST. For grant details and the application process, visit our Grants Page. Questions? Check our FAQ Page or contact Roanne, our grants coordinator, at gra...@farmtoschoolbc.ca.
