Each November good food advocates, food system leaders, community members, and organizations from across the region (and beyond) gather to share their stories, celebrate successes, learn from one another, and build connections. The Good Food Gathering is a chance to update one another and re-energize ourselves moving forward in this important work. We welcome everyone from across sectors, folks with deep roots in food work to people just looking to get connected, individual advocates to non-profits, government, educators and business.
This year the event, themed 'Listening to the Land' will be providing opportunities for networking, learning, showcasing success, and thinking critically about how to move forward in our local food system through weaving connections to the land.
Since the work you do intersects with work across our regional food system, we would love to see you here. There will be sessions discussing big questions around our local food system - themes of accessibility in food systems, restoration and resilience in Indigenous Food systems, regenerative agriculture, climate action and so much more! We also have plenty of other sessions with in-person tours with great local community organizations working in food justice, food access and food literacy - check out the rest of this year's program here.
You can access tickets through our website https://www.goodfoodnetwork.info/2021-good-food-gathering or https://2021goodfoodgathering.rsvpify.com/. Free and sliding-scale tickets available for IBPOC communities, students, unhoused and low-income individuals - check out the website for all ticketing information.
If you would like to share with your networks and community, we've made it easy with this communications kit here containing sample social media posts, links and graphics.
When you register for tickets, you will also be choosing what in-person sessions you will be attending. So be sure to register for tickets ASAP so you can get the option of what session you want to attend!
