Guys!  The F2F appreciation dinner was very inspiring and I think all three of us ladies who attended --Jessica, Vronika, and I-- had our spirits lifted up. Some inspiring quotes:

"I am a point of light part of a greater light."  - part of a prayer quoted by Carolyn K.

Summary: We are a caravan journeying together, staying together, and only going as fast as the weakest and slowest member.  Maybe a member is very old, or has been injured and can't walk -- other members of the caravan help that person by either carrying them on their back or walking with them as they hobble.  We are that caravan, in a sense, in a society that no longer has caravans.
- Greg Kepferle

"...not only giving out of your essence, but even out your emptiness."

"...not giving a hand-out, but a hand-UP."

"...you are walking in someone's [your family's] shoes. We are loved by a God who walked in our shoes."

"...it's not about doing extraordinary things, but doing the ordinary things out of love..."
-Greg Kepferle

"combinado" -- Spanish (or Portugese?) sing-along we sang in the beginning.  Means "unity" or "community"

Lastly, Carolyn Krantz wrote me an e-mail thanking us for the basket (she said it was "great") and for all our support.  In total, F2F raised $8000 (surpassing the original goal of $2500!).  She also said that she was grateful that we were part of the "F2F Caravan."

Lastly, I wanted to give a shout-out to Doug and Anita Scribner and Jeff Ho for walking with our team and praying for us and Vronika.  Thank you for supporting our F2F team!

Please read Jessica's summary here, and check out the photos here.

But here's one picture to get your started...

Wonderful pictures. Nice to see Vronika smile. Thank you Red Bean Bun and J Tunes for attending... esp considering J Tunes was pretty tired and could not remember what the speaker said... hehehe :-D

Yay to F2F raising $8000... $5500 above the target of $2500... Makes me feel all the vendors I bugged about asking for money was worth the effort...

Good info in the peanut gallery. Did not know that Ella's son is in remission from leukemia. Looking forward to hearing more about it during the core team chat tonight.

James
