Please HELP!! March 21 Meeting with Vronika

F2F needs your help!!

 

 

Not sure if you folks received Jessica's polite solicitation for volunteers to meet with Vronika this coming Friday.   Jessica shared with us that it was the devotionals where one of the few times she has seen Vronika light up with excitement.  And it'll only last an hour or so. 

I had some hopes of making it out myself but I've over-committed.  Is there anyone out there who can take my place on Friday?

Please let us know.  James can make attend and we're looking for a second person to help out.   Pretty please?

Speaking of clear consciences, I wanna let you all know I cannot help out this Fri due to an engagement I am not willing to reschedule. I plan to help out in 2 weeks on 4/4, though. 

Also just a reminder to everyone (except Jared, the Lai's, and Willie), please do us a favor and see if you can do at least one more thing (either devotional with V or a meal -- see last Friday's Meeting Agenda e-mail for dates) before we end our time with V on June 1st!  If you can't, just let us (Jessica/James/Ashok/Andrea/me) know as soon as possible, like by next Friday, 3/28 would be AWESOME.  It's totally cool if you can't help!  What's not cool is not letting us know.  If I sound like a bi-otch, it's my giving a little tough love! ;o)  We all made a commitment back in December 2012, so let's act like it and do this right -- better late than never.  (*A note: This e-mail does not reflect the sentiments of the core team members and reflects only the sentiments of Carolyn Chen who is going a llittle rogue here (forgive me, core teammates!)).

So, again, please let us know by next 3/28 if you cannot commit to doing a devotional or meal with V before we end on June 1st.  If we don't hear from you, we'll continue reaching out to you. ;)

Hey F2F team,

I'm sorry, but the Christophers are out for the count on all near future F2F meetings. WIth both of us working full-time and moving by the end of the month, there just isn't any free time. Also your prayers are all appreciated for our very sick little dude. We spent the afternoon at the KP Emergency Room as Leif's cold/virus escalated from bad to worse and he was having a lot of trouble breathing. That was a very scary moment. We did a few breathing treatments over a few hours at the hospital and he is doing better. We're loaded up with antibiotics, inhalers, baby tylenol and steroids… GEESH. Prayers please. Even if they are only for one of us to succeed in actually getting the medication *into* his mouth. 

We love you guys and have loved every minute of serving the Corbin family with you.

Hi Lauren,

I'm sorry to hear about Leif's illness. Glad to hear the breathing treatments have helped. That must have been very scary. If you have any questions concerning airway congestion/blockage, please feel free reach out to Diane (314-308-5818). Diane is a specialist and has had a great deal of training in this area. We have a nebulizer at home, and we use it often when our kids get sick. The albuterol we use can help relax the airways and open up the bronchi. When Victor was sick in 2012, we frequented the ER. Also when Joshua was 1, he caught a bad case of the flu. His temperature was over 105. I stayed up all night with him to bathe him in luke warm water because the meds he was taking were not bringing his temperature down. He was miserable, and I was exhausted. I do not miss those early days of parenting... Take heart, Leif's immune system will kick in, and he will be all better before you know it. In the mean time, my prayers are with you.

And I would like to help you move. If you need anything, please holler at me.
