Manoeuvre description adjusted

Dear members of the F2B Working Group
As the basic proposals defining flight over the base (no longer
parallel to ground) have today been handed over to the F2 Subcommittee
for further processing, we now need to agree on manoeuvre descriptions
being adjusted accordingly. I have therefore uploaded to “Files” draft
versions of all (except clover) descriptions for your attention.

Please check and comment as soon as practicable, bearing in mind that
we are supposed to clarify, not to change, the rules. In order to reply
and/or comment on related issues, do not start a “new post” but hit
reply on the bottom left side of this window.

I would like to submit all of the edited descriptions approved by the
Group not later than September 30st.

Thank you

p.s. The descriptions uploaded today are DRAFTS for the purpose of
discussion only. Do not use or publish, please.
p.p.s We are still doing a bit of preparation work on the description
of the clover and I expect to add its draft description within a week
or two.

Dear friends,

completing the list of edited manoeuvre descriptions I am happy to
inform you that, following intensive work done by Keith Renecle, Igor
Burger and Paul Walker, I have been able to upload (to "Files") the
draft description and the revised diagram of the clover today. As you
will notice, the content has bee adjusted to the revised version of
Terminology & wording, as well as to the needs of spherical geometry.

Thank you all for reading and inspecting carefully. Please comment
here by hitting "Reply" at bottom left.

Kind regards, Peter Germann

Dear Members of the F2B Working Group

As per date of October 3rd 2009 I have submitted to the members of the
F2 Subcommittee all of the formal proposals required to clarify/adjust
the F2B manoeuvre descriptions/terminology changes according to the
results of our previous discussions. I have asked the S/C committee to
vote on the proposals as a whole and, when found acceptable, to submit
the proposals in the name of the F2 Subcommittee to CIAM, respecting
the deadline of November 15 2009 and suggesting a date of
implementation of January 1st 2011. The receipt of our request was
formally acknowledged by F2 S/C Chairman Bengt-Olof Samuelsson on Oct.
4th with a remark expressing his personal support and approval to
submit in the name of the S/C.

The result of the vote within the S/C can be expected by October 15th
and it is therefore now your most important duty to contact your
national member of the F2 Subcommittee (check:
http://www.fai.org/aeromodelling/contacts/subcommittee?i=81&f=2 or
call your NAC to get contact data) and ask for support by sending an
"approve" e-mail to me on: peterd...@bluewin.ch

For your concluding information I have uploaded a draft version of the
rule, showing how it is supposed to look in its final form. You will
find it named "Compiled draft SC extract" under "Files". The same
document was sent to the members of the S/C too.

Thank you for providing the final effort required to update the F2B
rule. I will keep you current on the vote result.

Kind regards, Peter Germann
