Just a simple question: Any ways to make gears in F1GP 100% manual and to be used with an H-pattern shifter and a clutch?
In my understanding F1GP only allows sequential shifting (as do GP2, 3 and 4) and also clutch cannot be assigned in game. But could it be doable with some sort of a plug-in or an external program?

I know it's a kinda long shot but had to ask :)

Greetings,
Ted

Theoretically, it would be possible to make a workaround that would emulate such behavior. You would need the information about the current gear from the game, and the previous and next gear from the H-pattern gearbox that you're using. Based on that, the emulator would send the required number of gear up/down keystrokes. The downside is that you would still have the physics of sequential shifting in the game itself. I'm not sure if the physics of the game would allow for non-sequential gear changes.

But this is all just theoretical, because I don't think any such solution exists.

Hi,
I'm a bit late, sorry ^^

I would love to have an opportunity to use a H pattern gearbox, but I fear try to emulate it with a third party app wouldn't really work:
The game do not always change gear when you ask, meaning the app would lose track of the actual gear selected.

As for the clutch, since the game handles it internally, I dont think it's possible.
