Hello,
I used to play F1GP back in the 90's on the Amiga, first with 8fps and later with 15fps :D
Still it was great in my eyes and the best racing simulation on this platform!
After finding this forum and watching some youtube videos, I would like to give this gem another try :)
I want the best perfomance possible, so is it possible to increase the FPS up to 50 with GPFPS and Dosbox Staging?
I set my cycles to 30000 and patched the game with GPFPS, but got the spinning cars.

Is anybody playing it at 50fps and if so, could provide me with the suitable Dosbox Staging settings?

Many thanks and kind regards,
starfighter

Hello,

Unfortunately, there's no way to push the game beyond 25 FPS and get stable gameplay.
Using GPFPS to go above 25 FPS is known to cause spins and crashes, because it messes up the internal physics of the game.

All I can say is if you play long enough at 25 FPS, you'll get used to it and it will feel great :)

Cheers,
Hrvoje

Hi,
i'm using dosbox staging and gpfps @ 30fps and I have no performance issue.  When I read the documentation of gpfps, it states that high fps values (over 40) kinda breaks the physic engine, so I settled with 30.

Good to know, thanks. I quickly tried 30fps and it seems to work.

Has anyone ever tried Lossless Scaling with GPF1?
