hi,
I know a little bit about the navigation systems of the era- TACAN and ADF. From understanding, you simply tune your navigation system to a particular beacon's frequency and then will have the barring and possibly the range. When an F-105 was being flown over enemy territory would you mostly use dead reckoning or would you be in range of any friendly nav signals you could use to aid in navigation or did the Thud have some sort of a simple (mechanical) inertial navigational computer?
