Is it me or was the British Grand Prix an anti-climax? Certainly the pre race build up had both BBC and Sky anticipating a corker of a race but, for me, it didn't materialise. Perhaps the expectation of a deluge sometime during the race, which didn't happen, has a lot to do with it. Perhap I was just gutted to see the McLarens, yet again, off the race pace. JB's year gets systematically worse with each race as he is just incapable of getting the tyres heated up and Lewis, who usually copes better with these problems, struggled for any discernible speed, although Jenson seemed to be having less of a problem than his teammate so one wonders how he would have fared with a much higher grid slot.
What's going on with these Pirellis? Nico Rosberg who's won his first race this year, seems back in the pack again yet MS, for once, is faring better. Ferrari and Red Bull however, are emerging as the title contenders. Alonso was supreme once more, the car obviously a beaut since Massa is coming in with some points now. Webber drove a great race to a deserved win and Seb quietly stalking a third title.
"The Thug" yet again wrecked anothers race as well as his own and judging by the somewhat muted comments from anyone asked, most believe he should be more severely dealt with before he does some real damage. Perez didn't hold back and quite blatantly said the guys a dangerous menace.
Once again the Lotus's looked fast enough to win but didn't deliver. As for Koby, morphing his car into a bowling ball and nearly scoring a strike with his pitcrew was heart in your mouth stuff! Bit of a silly bugger wasn't he.

Ditto, with the exception of Massa. I think he's just pulled his finger out as much as it is the fault of the car. It's a shame that he lost through tyre wear but this is not the first time Ferraro have fudged tyres. Agree about Maldonado, even if this one was mostly a racing incident, it's still him.

I meant to ask if anyone watched the BBC Forum on the red button after the main coverage had finished. Dear old Murray was a guest but I think he's showing his age. Asked whether he was enjoying the current season he said yes but that his favourite era was the 80's when Senna, Mansell, Piquet etc and Schumacher were racing. Erm, Schumacher Murray?

Wondering if you guys on that side of the pond get more info then we do over here. Hamilton gets pole in Spain, stops car on track, gets docked 10 grid positions. Alonzo wins in Valencia, stops on track, no problem. Alonzo gets hot lap in Q2 to get to Q3 while yellow is out, eventually gets pole in Q3, thought it was common practice to through out fast lap if driver went thru yellow on that lap. Ferrari favoritism again?

Apparently the rules state that a driver will be penalised if he stops his car on track during or after qualifying but once a race is completed it is therefore finished and cars can be left on track without penalty. With regard to Alonso and the yellows, it was deemed by the stewards that he lifted therefore acknowledging the waved yellows. On board footage did show that his revs dipped when he saw the flags so on this occasion I don't think favouritism was in play.
