Recap - Toastmasters December 19, 2020 (Holiday) Meeting

Good evening Fellow Toastmasters,

Our last meeting of 2020 was a contest full of holiday treats, quotes, inspirational stories and more!  Ten table topic speakers gave a speech of their choice.  Some of the things shared was a quote from prime minister Margaret Thatcher “You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it”.  We heard speeches on the importance of a support network, as well as, the importance and the power of giving.  Heartfelt speeches were given about togetherness and how honoring people we love can be the most precious thing in life.  We were told about making the commitment to make better choices in 2021.  We saw and heard about cooking vegetables with a twist, and learned about foods associated with Christmas, past and present.  There was a humorous story of the aftermath of riding on a motorcycle without a helmet.  Finally, as we end the year, one speaker wanted to give the gift of de’light” in 2021.  😊  Great job everyone!    

Our next meeting will be January 2, 2021.

Mrs. Joethelia I want to thank you for sending the meeting agender . I will be attending the meeting coming the new year, my wife lost her job which really but a damper on us. Therefore I have to work a lot of overtime to meet our need's right now but I miss you all and my wife miss see a lot of you all as well. I pray that God will bless all you all and your families. Again I will be praying for you all and your families that God will keep you all from the virus and add greatness within your families. I pray also that you would keep us in your prayers and not tell them about our hardship at this time. I pray you understand what I'm saying because I type sometime and loss my train of thought again thank you so much.
