Recap - Toastmasters October 17, 2020 meeting

Hello Toastmasters,

I hope you had an effervescent time yesterday!

The meeting theme “Breaking Barriers” was an interesting one.  Helen’s Table Topics session focused on women breaking barriers and she gave a brief history lesson on women obtaining the right to vote, becoming first in sports and the banking industry.   Debika spoke on understanding the dynamics of a hurtful situation.  She told us that 90% of our hurtful situations would not hurt if we understood it through self-reflecting.  Nishu gave a presentation using a PowerPoint he designed to help us better understand the five level of Pathways by comparing it to a five-year university program.  It was such a pleasure to have JohnRich in attendance!

Rising Stars meet every 1^st and 3^rd Saturday.  The next meeting is November 7^th, 2020.
