1946 Aeronca 11AC for Sale

I'm starting here since there are obviously many Aeronca enthusiasts and I think also many 11AC lovers. This airplane is flyable but needs a lot of TLC. I was the last one to fly it, even had it on skis but stopped when I realized it was not insured. It's been sitting since 2022 when I last flew it but the engine gets run every now and then.

1946 Aeronca Chief 11AC Serial # 1178.

Total Time AirFrame: 1967

Total Tach Time: 1269

Engine, Continental A-75. 5 hours SMOH

Stromberg NA-S3BCarburetor fully OH 2010 

Mags are Slick, hours unknown at this time

Airframe logbook goes back to 1989

Tires were new 2021 but only a few hours on them.

Wing Struts were sandblasted and powder coated ~2019 or 2020

McDowel starter is in-op but fixable.

Prop is McCauley and was overhauled at the same time as the engine.

Last annual September 2021.

Airplane has been neglected since last annual but the engine will start right up and runs strong.

Was hangered since ~2000 when the current owner purchased it.

Engine overhaul by Aerotec November 2018.
