Great, but lets have some names, all I can recognise is Bill P. Too long
since I've been there.
And yes Jerry, why change the name? If your on a good thing, stick to
it. Oshkosh.

Ian,
I guess we all could give our names. Dave Mac Pherson is the old
geezer standing on Bill Pancakes left.

Thanks, Ray.  I am the one on the far left next to the tail.  Craig MacVeigh is next to me.

There is always something to complain about, or not as it suits.
I had a great time camping down with my Champ in Vintage/South Forty, and a great trip going and returning to Oregon. Good tiedowns, chocks, and a modest tent with stakes all around removed any anxiety when the weather blew through. The trip there always has a few challanges, but taken one flight at a time it's all part of the fun.

The City complained about loosing the exclusive use of it's name. They had to change. No use grousing about it.
Sounds like a personal problem, talk to a Chaplin about it.

Not the reason at all.  When MBA Tom took over from DAD Paul, he saw all of those vendors
selling t-shirts  and stuff proclaiming “Oshkosh 19—“ and the EAA wasn’t making a penny in
royalties.  The obvious MBA solution....change the name to something that could be trade-
marked and controlled.

Richard,

Any chance of seeing some photo's and maybe reading some stories please?
I think those of us who were virtually there would like to know more
about some of the adventures and fun you experienced.

Thank you,
Don H

Thanks Richard, almost like being there!  I did notice how many people were seeking any sort of shade they
could find in some of the photos!   Only we who hail from the PacNW know secret that we sweat at anything
above 72 degrees!

Glad your safe and have wonderful adventurous memories!  Almost a Rodkey distance, but John
still has the prize!

Mark

Mark,

During the week just past several Seattlites in my bicycle group endured a 471 mile ride from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River. The warmest day was 106 with dew points in the low 70's. The other days were 98, 99, 102 etc.. They all made it and complained that it was cold when they got home. They showed such fortitude we made them honorary Midwesterners.
