I know this is a stupid questions as I do own 2 Chiefs, however I got both of them with the wings off so I never had to take them off or put them back on.
Here is the deal..... I want to make new fuselaje ribs for my pre-war and I want them to be flush with the wing ribs so when you look at it the wing airfoil matches the airfoil of the fuselaje rib and is not taller or lower> The only way that I can think in doing that is by putting the wings on (on my driveway or steert, pics to follow), put a blank on the fuselaje ruibs and mark them so I can finally finish the cabin area.  Any one has a better idea in how to do this?  What is the correct way to put wing in a Chief (no gear)?
Tks

Why can't you just make a template of the wing rib with attach points then transfer that over to the fuselage

Just use a rib as a pattern.  Locate it relative the spar attach.

Rafael, you just have to have lots of friends to hold the wing up while
you slip in the wing attach bolts and the lift struts.
I have a chain block in the hanger that I used to put the wings on which
made it just about a one finger job to line up.
Know of any sky hooks you can rent (G)
