I am overhauling the scott 2000 tailwheel on my champ. It is giving no trouble but the steering arm is certainly well worn particularly on the starboard side and I will probably replace it. The bottom of the bracket assembly on my tailwheel is recessed to take a [well worn] brass/bronze thrust washer. The part No 7 in the Univair diagram labelled bushing cap which looks like a lipped washer is not present. I think if this were present the nyloc nut at the top would not be in safety, Is the bushing cap used on all versions of the Scott tailwheel?
