Ok I’m lost! If what you are missing is the thickness of the starter which is a known. Then the spacer should be that thick ness max. The spacer you got it’s thinner than that measurement?

Joe Farrelly what part of the US do you live? Have parts can travel. 

 

Richard in OH who has failed to comprehend why this hasn't been solved. If BP gave you a spec it would have been for standard parts as supplied by Aeronca. Willing to travel to educate myself and get a good story for the Aeronca Aviator.
