I finally got around to ordering my aircraft history CD from FAA. Arrived in 2 weeks and is a good $10 investment. So interesting/fascinating to go all the way back to the factory's sale of the aircraft to a local dealer who then sold it to an individual. It was titled to a mortgage company for the financing. With all fees and insurance premium financed, cost the first owner $1361.35. The CD is a good investment if you don't have one. roger

Too much fun for $10. The first owner of my plane was a woman....in 1938!!

I buy the CD when I start looking at a plane. The airworthiness section tells a lot about what you got. The registration has always been fascinating and i love to plot on Google maps where the plane has lived.

Those CD's are like aviation archeology. So much fun to piece the story together.

I have always bought one for every airplane. Usually before I buy it so I can look for what happened has been repaired properly.--and its owner history.

If you go to the FAA fRegistration site--go to owner name and type that in or go to the N number site and type in the FAA N number--they should come up with the owner you bought it from if he registered it or maybe the one he bought it from also.
