Just an early note to reserve your date for the CTQ2 fly-in.

It will be Saturday Sept 12, always the 2nd Saturday in Sept.  Beefalo burger and sweet corn etc. meal at noon. Self serve U-Pic garden and orchard fly-i, drive-in any time in season.  Order some of our frozen Beefalo  burgers to take home.  Our hardy Beefalo only eat grass and hay and left over garden and orchard produce.  All must operate at their own risk as usual.

Beefalo meat is a, nutrient-dense, and sustainable red meat derived from a hybrid of 3/8 bison and 5/8 domestic cattle. It is recognized for being significantly leaner than beef—with 79% less fat, 66% fewer calories, and 1/3 less cholesterol—while offering a tender, flavorful, and high-protein alternative that is often raised without hormones or grains.
Nutritional and Health Benefits
  • Lean & Healthy: Beefalo is lower in fat and cholesterol than beef. It is considered a heart-healthy choice that can help lower LDL cholesterol levels.
  • High Protein & Vitamins:
It has higher protein and vitamin levels compared to conventional beef
    .
  • Natural Processing: Because of its bison genetics, it is often raised on grass without grain or hormone supplements.
Flavor and Cooking
  • Taste: The meat is described as tender and flavorful, often described as similar to, or better than, premium beef.
  • Cooking: Due to its low fat content, beefalo cooks faster than conventional beef, often requiring roughly half the cooking time to avoid drying out. It is excellent for grilling or searing.
Availability and Production
  • Niche Product: Beefalo is primarily sold by small, independent producers rather than in large grocery chains.
  • Cost: It generally costs more than commercial beef.

Also, son John has a rustic cabin for rent located on a nice private pond here -fly-in or drive in.  Contact John Weller <ret...@gmail.com>

Also my neighbors house across Stage Road from us is for sale.  It has a double lot, and it would be handy for any aircraft enthusiast who might want to keep their plane at CTQ2 and be within walking distance of their home.  Emilie Dupont is their broker
