Most folks use two TyWraps and make stand offs.  In fact TyWraps come with Slick mag kits. If you Korseal lacing it will harden also. If you use  Adel Clamps the rubber will also harden.    Concern--That is what an annual inspection is for.

I have heard that there is a difference in the durability of the various colors of ty wraps. I think the clear was less durable than the black and more prone to UV. Anyone with more information than "my thinking".
