Well, literally weeks of work from cutting both damaged sides off, replacing the with new material. Taking countless dents and 88 years of neglect out of it out, the fiat original aluminum aeronca made wheel pant it’s done. Taking the paint scheme off an old picture and scalping it out was a task in itself self. I hope it looks good when installed.

Man, that's outstanding, I'm so jealous that they're aluminum. I have similar ones that are fiberglass. I'm trying to figure out a way to make the mounts that attach to the end of the axle tube.

Thank you all for the kind works. In a couple of weeks I’m picking up the brand new cowlings.  Do a bit of work on them, paint them and the airplane after a few centuries it will be ready for assembly!
