I was hoping someone could help me with a question.  I would like to use auto fuel in my 1939 65-LA Chief.  The motor is a Lycoming O-145-B2.  I looked on Peterson's website (talked to him too) and while the STC is approved for the motor, it's not for the air frame.  So, would anyone know of a prewar Chief with an auto fuel STC, and if so could you provide details...  Thanks in advance.

Looking at the stc's available for the 65-LA there are no auto fuel options listed.

I have to agree. I looked at Peterson from several different ways and also EAA and that combination does not come up. But if you want to pursue. You can always call both and see if there is something we are missing.

A previous owner bought it and I have the paperwork.

If they can’t add it to their list of approved aircraft, it seems like it would be a pretty simple field approval.

From what I understand, a field approval is possible if it had not been done before.

I'd like to thank everyone for helping answer this question-really appreciate the effort.  I bought the plane-in-question about a year ago, and just came across this group; glad you are here.

Would you be willing to share a copy of the forms/paperwork?

Wish I had them my deaf A&P occasionally reads an email now and again and has all the logs.  It would probably be faster to order the documents from the FAA website until you are local.
