Well after hours and countless repairs the first wheel pant it’s starting to look decent. Removed 3 lbs of fiberglass and bon-do. Had two cut both sides and weld replacement pieces around the attachment point area as the patches and countless rivets(of all sizes) where ugly as hell. Then countless hours of tapping dents and high spots and finally some primer and still some more super fill. Getting there! Glad it’s no a tricycle airplane and 3 instead of two

Thank you Sir. They still need a lot of work but they are almost presentable in society now

Artwork. . . .pure art.

Looking good Rafael

I keep thinking it's past the point of sneaking it into Harbor Freight and the English Wheel!

A work of art ... in progress. A guy could mount that on a pedestal and sell it for big bucks as high art.
But mounting it on the airplane and flying it around is a way better use for it.
Well done, as usual, Rafael!

Too kind guys!  I always thought i was a patience man and that is why i do these crazy things, but according to the significant other ( I know better not to argue with her) I am not patience at all but the most persistent and determine person in the world.
But also my father said that by the time I finish it I’m going to be so old I’m going to need to install a wheelchair ramp and oxygen system.
Thank you for the kind words. Going up to see the new cowling this month and hopefully do the final fitting in February back at the hangar.  Then is painting them, seat belts and final assembly!
