Westinghouse CRT

Hi there,

 

I have attached three photo's of a Westinghouse storage CRT of which I purchased from a company in the States about a month ago.

 

This tube is one of the same that goes into the scope of the radar equipment of the F4 Phantom, in the time from purchase I have conducted a wide search through many contacts trying to obtain the technical data on it but with no luck whatsoever.

 

Even better I visited the archives at the RAF Museum at Hendon and looked through a whole pile AP's on the aircraft, but no mention at all of the radar, my most recent contact was to Texas Instruments, they are the company that built the radar and they kindly acknowledged my email and said that they would look into matter but so far I have heard nothing in my favour.

 

Is there any of you gentleman that can shine a light on the subject, if so I would be most grateful.

Hi Raymond,

I´ll gonna ask a guy who deals with the IWM at Duxfort. They have two
F-4´s there and maybe they can find out something. I´ll come back with
something later.
