The F4C had a screw jack on bottom of each wing and was turned with a common blade screw driver and the pin would raise on top side of wing and show red. In the wheel well was the switch to fold the wings and as long as you had elec. and hyd. power the wings would fold. Once you lost either elec. or hyd power they would slowely criep down until elec. and hyd power was reappliel and then stand back up until switch was pit into spread position and then screw the pin back down and lock. Later models was manual unlock and fold.

Let's not forget about the safety downlocks that had to be installed so that the wing folds would not come down! Plus you could also fold them manually
