Site Visit by DHS Inspector today afternoon (My friend experience)

One of my friend got surprised visit from DHS officer today. so I thought to share with you the news.

 

Here are conversation between my friend, his manager and DHS officer.

A lady from Department Of Homeland Security visited my friend office today at around 2:30 PM and spoke with his Manager and him (noting everything),

 

Here are all the questions asked by her,

 

Questions to Manager:

 

1.     What does [Client Company] and his team do? We do IT and explained what this company does

2.     What is his name, phone number and designation? Given

3.     What is my designation? Developer

4.     What are my responsibilities? Answered accordingly

5.     Asked whether he know [Candidate Employer Company Name] details like how many full time employees do they have etc? He explained that [Client Company] works only with Preferred Vendors and they have some vendors, so it will be tough to know all the details of everyone

6.     How long I have been here? [Given duration]

7.     Does he work full time over here? Yes, all the duties are performed over here

8.     Timings? 8:30 to 5:30

 

Question to my friend:

 

1.     Company’s name? [Candidate Employer Company Name]

2.     Full Time/Contract? Full-time

3.     Designation? Developer/IT consultant

4.     Technologies and Responsibilities? Explained accordingly, involved in all development life cycle etc.

5.     Salary? Answered

6.     Who pays all the fees for visa? Is it you or your employer? Employer

7.     Where did you work before here? [Previous Client Location]

 

 

Questions to her(Department Of Homeland Security officer):

 

1.     Asked her what this exercise is about? She said that their responsibility is to prevent Fraud and they pick some H1B holders randomly and visit their client location and verify whether they work over here and she gave my friend her Card and asked to call her if he have any questions.
