Hi.

My Chrome browser has just updated to version 77. After this, when I try to open a PDF link in the browser, the PDF is not displayed if the ezLinkPreview extension is enabled. I get an empty screen. If I disable ezLinkPreview, the PDF appears correctly.

For example, try opening this link:

You can see the attached screenshot.

Thanks.

Thank you for letting me know!
For now, you can add .pdf to the exclusion list in the extension options and click save.

I will update the extension.

OK, I have updated the extension and published 6.24 which will allow PDF files to load.

Hi there,

I posted the following on the app support page: "I love this extension, can't do without it. Unfortunately, It conflicts with Chrome's inline PDF reader, which displays a blank page instead of the PDF. I'm forced to download PDFs or disable EZLink. This makes me sad. Any fix for this?"

then I found this group and this question. I've selected "Send PDF files to Google Docs Views" in PDF links under preferences, and added .pdf to the exclusions, but still get a gray screen when I load a PDF. Any suggestions as to how to make this work? Appreciate your help.

Thanks, Judy

Try choosing "Treat PDF links as normal links" and remove .PDF from exclusion list. It works for me that way.

Make sure your extension is the final version. On Chrome's manage extensions screen, I see version 6.24.

Thanks! That worked for me - fixing the long-running annoying problem of no ezlink pdf previews.

So…. this should probably be the default?

Appreciate the answers, but I still can't read PDFs, regardless of the option I choose. I do have the latest version of the extension.I probably should have mentioned I'm on a Mac laptop running Mojave. Maybe that makes a difference.

Thanks,
Judy

I have made a fix, but now google is refusing to publish it due to their permissions policy. Hopefully that will be resolved and the new version will fix your issue...
