I got the EDK version of the ez+102 and I was wondering how I am
supposed to mount the screen to my project. The outer surface is
smooth and devoid of any obvious screw holes. It didn’t come with any
sort of bracket or assembly instructions either. I have it working
now but it is kind of spread out across my workstation. Any
suggestions?

Does the non-EDK version come with a different screen or something?

Also, is the screen supposed to get very hot along the edges?

Hi Daniel,

The ezLCD-102 does not ship with any mounting bracket which holds all the components together.

I would suggest using the ezLCD-105 in the future if you are looking to stay in a smaller size display and use a complete open frame solution.

I can however offer you mounting brackets for the LCD itself.  They are only intended for mounting the LCD, and not the rest of the components.

Also the back light on the 6.4" LCD is on the bottom of the display and will get warm because separation from the CCFL and the outside of the display is through a thin reflective film and the LCD frame.

Please contact me directly if you would like me to send you the LCD mounting brackets.

Best Regards,
Luis

Thanks for the info, and please send the brackets.
We can mount the other components to the sides of a box but we were uncertain how to secure the screen.
I am not sure what you mean by open frame solution.

Do these screen brackets come with the non-EDK version, come separately or can they be bought from a generic hardware / electronics store?

Send the brackets to:

Thanks again, I received the brackets a while ago but I forgot to
mention it. I noticed that there are indeed mounting holes on the
side of the screen. I have no idea why my coworkers or I couldn’t
spot them before.
