I got my boards a couple weeks ago, followed by most of the parts -
there are a few resistors that are on backorder. I'm taking it
slowly, doing continuity checks at every stop. I finished all the
surface mount parts last week, and am now moving more quickly through
the through-hole parts. I'm also attempting to use the mux capability
of the 8416 to select between two inputs, so I "lifted" a couple of
the pins and adding a second input circuit and a selection circuit
with a switch. As a backup plan, I also ordered a relay so I can
follow cyclebrain's approach to source selection if the mux approach
fails (I've found the pins are somewhat fragile).
I'll let you know how it turns out!
