Hi guys,

First off - thanks to Graham for all his hard work getting these
repo's up.

Just did a checkout this morning - I picked up a copy of both the SVN
and that tar ball for the "PHP5" version. I had to rack my brains a
bit, couldn't quite remember how the new rearranged version worked,
but i figured it out. Some things to note:
1. It works perfectly on PHP 4.4.9 as well.
2. I was a bit confused as to contents of the trunk directory under
the main distro. It seems the trunk is the correctly ported version -
just copied trunk/* to the main directory.
3. The site.ini overrides had me there for a bit too. There's just so
many versions of it floating about and the override isn't a true
override (is it?) where I can override certain values only - such db
info, site title, etc.
4. We really have to look into giving the admin template a face lift.

Some Q's
1. Do we start working on a specific repo? I suggest deciding on one
of these and making it the main branch for dev work / changes, etc.
One of the outstanding issues is register-globals. We have to remove
this dependency sooner than later.
2. PHP 5 has some nice features, such as auto-loading of class files -
might be worth checking out using this feature in up-and-coming
releases.
3. What are the chances of back porting eZ's online editor? Has anyone
looked at this yet?

That's it from me for now.

Cheers

Yes.

Try editing bin/ini/override/site.ini.php

Interesting Idea

We would making all our changes in the trunk part of te repo at,
http://ezcommunity2.googlecode.com/svn/

Agreed. I think php5 support is the way to go working out of the box.

Yes. We have sources there are some considerations.

We have notice we have a number of php issues being logged per
request, module, view and action in most of the entire php source
code.

PHP Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated
PHP Notice: Undefined variable

These can be found in the httpd and ez logs and these should be fixed.

Only a few views do not load because of php fatal errors. We think
there are more errrors surrounding modules which are on average used
less frequently.

We think all of these errors are addressable. We have seen augmented
eZ Publish 2.0 -> 2.2.9 installations working with no runtime errors
with even more trade, article, form and catalog functionality.

@Willo

We do have a very clean, well tested, admin template (design) set
which is based on stock templates altered to be an all white with dark
black borders which a number of customers have found to be a breath of
fresh air to ezcommunity. The admin design is called 'white'. At one
point we also completed a user design called 'white' as well. We also
have sources for a newer clean 'red' design which is only partially
complete.

With so much ezpublish2 source code on our backup server disk. We
really apreciate your help in sprucing up the source code.

Cheers
