Hi,

i'm using EZvcard lib, but noticed a problem with the folded lines, because it added '=' at end of all when using quoted printable and folded, but i think that behavior is not standard.
I looked into rfc2426 and rfc5322 but didn't found anything saying that that character is required to finish every folded quotable-printable entry.

Can anyone verify if that's a bug? is there any quick fix to avoid that (except increasing the fold line length ?

Thanks
Sergio

Hi Sergio,

I'm pretty sure a "=" has to be at the end of every folded, quoted-printable line.  According to page 6 of the 2.1 vCard specifications:

For example, in the Quoted-Printable encoding the multiple lines of formatted text are separated with a Quoted-Printable CRLF sequence of “=0D” followed by “=0A” followed by a Quoted- Printable softline break sequence of “=“. Quoted-Printable lines of text must also be limited to less than 76 characters. The 76 characters does not include the CRLF (RFC 822) line break sequence. For example a multiple line LABEL property value of:

123 Winding Way
Any Town, CA 12345
USA

Would be represented in a Quoted-Printable encoding as:

LABEL;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:123 Winding Way=0D=0A=
  Any Town, CA 12345=0D=0A=
  USA
