Firstly thank you for advertising in the Eye Magazine the "Eye
Matters" website.

Good News in the Diss express:

An application for the construction of two 130-metre wind turbines on
Eye Airfield has been withdrawness this Week:

As a resident in Millfield I have always enjoyed the views over the
old airfield and quiet location and wildlife. I also have family
living in Eye who will not see the turbines who also do not want them
situated so close to our Village.

Eye Matters and we should all be worried about the size of these
monstrosities. These will be taller than our beautiful church and
castle which makes our village a very special place.

I am concerned about the noise they will make I read recently in an
article that on a good day they are as loud as a busy motorway.....
which I do not want to live by !!

Also the value of properties in Eye surely must be an issue. I would
not buy a property near these turbines. Once built they will have a
life expectancy of 25 years.

Has anyone been to Kesslingland recently and seen these things for
real ?? they are a blite on the town and make you realise they will
be on our doorstep.

I feel as a resident I have not been informed or been able to reject/
protest about these turbines. Same as closing the toilets and council
waste site it seems we only know once the decision has been made and
read it in the local newspaper. I would like more notification of
upcoming important information that affects Us the ordinary residents.
(perhaps in the Eye magazine which is read and enjoyed by many)

I hope more people attend the next council meeting to show "Eye
Matters"
