Dear Mr. Robert: You have asked for help to calibrate Goldman applanation tonometer. If by this you want help in checking whether the calibration is correct or not please follow the procedure prescribed in the users manual. If your request implies you want to correct an instrument that needs correction after you have tested the calibration please follow the instruction in one or more of the video clips on the subject available in YOUTUBE. If you need some help if you are in India please send your instrument neatly packed to the Instruments Maintenance Department, Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai 625020. Attention Mr. S. Poornachandran (who is also a member of this group). He will do it for you. If you are overseas, if you name your country I may be able to locate a technician trained by me in that country who could do it. Best of luck. Srinivasan

 Hi Robert,
Aravind has 2 videos that show how to verify and recalibrate Goldman applanation tonometers.  Due to the large file size it’s not practical to email.  I’m away from home until mid-April and could mail you a DVD then.
Perhaps Professor Srinivasan can help (he’s a member of this group as well)?

Warm regards,

Leo

Thanks I have seen the videos you are talking about but this tonometer is quiet different in the sense that it does not have a calibrating bar like the others have. It have three weights and a metal piece which the weights can be "sit on". I am in Ghana.

Dear Robert: The pictures in Darran's attachment that appear earlier in this discussions is nice. It will work if you can read the figures on the last three pages (20,21 and 22) and follow the instructions given there. It should work.

I have no contact in Ghana. However there Is one person Mr. Austin Ater, a member of this group who can do it. He will be reading this and if you send it to him in Kisumu, Kenya I am sure he will do it for you. Best wishes. Srinivasan
