Hi.

We've had an EY-Express image hosted, however there was one issue:

"Your vmware istance is ready... the conversion process has failed for
infrastructure esxi, so i have converted it for a simple vmware server
v1.x istance."

Is there likely to be any kind of problem because of this? Should the
image work under ESXI?

Regards,

Matt

ESXI uses an older version of the VMware reference hardware and we
didn't have a copy around for testing when we developed EY Express.

EY Express *currently* runs on VMWare Player, Fusion & Workstation. It
*may* run on VMWare GSX server as I think that shares the same
virtualized hardware platform that Player, Fusion & Workstation use.

I believe VMWare is upgrading the ESX product to the same virtualized
hardware as the rest of the VMWare line in the coming months.

There appears to be more interest in running EY Express on ESX than we
had originally thought and may evaluate it as a supported platform
before the release of the upgraded ESX product, which should also run
it.

Well I can tell you that the image is running although I don't know
that this is a guarantee we won't have problems later on.

That would be interesting. I am experimenting with using an EY-Express
image as our staging environment so that both of our slices can be
used for our production app.
