I finally have some time to put my ExtrusionBot kit together but I cannot find the build videos anywhere and get no replies to requests from extrusionbot.com??. Does anyone have a link to the build videos for the Kickstarter kit?

Hi Guys,

I created this site because mark had dropped the ball with supporting his Kickstarter Backers and because I was one of those backers

The spent many hours on the extruder and was able to get it working but the spooler is unusable and I can safely say that the spools he shows on his site sere not done with the ExtrusionBot Spooler.
unless he changed it drastically and the pictures on his site looks mostly the same.

as for the videos there were 5 video they were not very good but did help however mark took the videos off his site with no explanation.

I was going to make real instructions but got discouraged when I realized that the ExtrusionBot even with 3 engineers and a complete CNC machine shop could not be made to work well. yes the extruder can produce close to 4 feet a minute but there are a mountian of problems trying to use it. I have printed small things with plastic I extruded with the Extrusionbot.

My advice to you is Sell it ot through it out BUT....

if you really want to try to get it built and running I can't blame you I had the same attitude going in.

here is what I can tell you
1. at the top of the page there is a Schematic it is correct I created it within the first week because I design Electronics for a living and could see that his schematic was not going to work. and mark asked if he could give out my Schematic with kits I said yes. but I have know Idea if he did or not. So get the one posted here it works !

2.) I have put the kit together differently than Mark's Kit mainly because his kit had 1 3d printed bracket that help 3 electrical Items and was unsafe.
he also had too much heat buildup in the ExtrusionBot so I 3d printed a Power supply Case and new electrical bracked a fan and shroud. when all was done it does not over heat.
I Put the first bracket up on youmagine.com just search for ExtrusionBot. let me know if you can't find it.
if you do not have a 3d printer I can print the parts for you and through them in the mail Just Email me at hwinters(AT)ecs87(DOT)com

I will make a new post and put up all the pictures I have that I took of the assembly process when I was planning to build the machine.

I am going on Vacation tomorrow morning But can still receive email feel free to send me questions I will most likly answer them at night and may not every night.

when I get back I will make a video of my Extrusion Bot and talk you through some of the wiring also The wires in the kit are a waste of time I used 18Ga wire most everywhere except for the heater and AC in which I think were 16Ga

so I will post thos pics now.
