NEW Schematic for ExtrusionBot kits

NEW schematic V1.04 as of Oct. 4, 2013 3:58pm EST

This is not the Official Schematic it is one that I made so that I could finish wiring my Extrusion Bot.

I have wired my Extrusion Bot to this schematic and it does work. It is still a little rough but thanks to some good feedback It should be a little easier to understand.

let me know if you think I should change something and I will try to make it as clear as possible.

It works!  I wired it up as per your schematics.  Thank you.  I have one issue though...my power on light is illuminated when the power is off and turns off when the power is turned on.  I know it must be an easy fix but for some reason it eludes me.  Again, thank you for your time in developing the schematic.  My first time power on is at  http://youtu.be/pAORDhi9OBE

Hi Ted,

Please Ignore my last message to you I was answering the wrong question.
I watched the video but could not see the wires for the light and key switch well enough to be able to follow them the Problem should be with those 4 wires.

Herb I saw in your notes "147 (degree celsius) for pla" which seems a little low? Although my experience trying to extrude at 174 has not been a good number to use either, the extruded filament has very little consistency and flows too eagerly and will try a lower temperature.

Hi Herb,

thanks for the schematic. It is much easier to read than my screenshot
of the drawing from the EB build video...
And also more complete.

One point which I don't understand is how the "Power On Light" is
wired.

From my inspection I would say both pins of the power on light are on
one potential ("pwBKLight Black"). Maybe Pin2 of the power on light
should be connected to "VAC In White Pin3" of the white 12 terminal
instead?

Thanks you are right when I made the last set of fixes to make it easier to see the wire connections I accidentally moved the power on indicator light wire from  position 2 on the barrier strip to position 1 which is wrong !!

@Ted Roller this maybe your problem as well. Sorry Guys I did double check it and then checked it again when Ted wrote about problem !

ANYWAY HERE IS REV 1.03 it is fixed now. Do let me know if you see anything else don't be afraid to ask me again if I get kinda thick :0

Thanks for the quick response.

I still vote for Pin 3, as Pin 2 is ground and connecting black and
ground looks not too healthy :)

you are right again  I think I need to slow down a bit.
yes Earth Ground is not a good plan for a return path I think I must be sleeping.

I will fix again and put up a Version 1.04

Welp  I've given up 

This is not a kit for a Newb with a very small understanding of electronics/reading wiring diag.  Was hoping for at least some basic instructions/ easy to read diagram. Im great at reading/ following the instruction manual , figuring out instructional flubs. I Just don't have the electronics background needed...

what i got was

1 poor instructions

2 missing parts/ parts that dont match vids or are poor printed parts

Well until theres better instructions/ support from Mark I feel that i've thrown 400$ away-

@James  Help is on the way I'm not sure if you have looked at the Kickstarter (KS) comments but Mark is back said he has hired more people to help off-load him so he will have the time to work on helping people with problems he also said the official BOM will be out tomorrow (Monday 10-7-2013). I mis read his post it said Bom not schematic. However on my kit and the kits I am building I change the wire size to 16 AWG wire which is much heavier. however I plan on making a schematic that shows the colors of the wires on the kits I end up building.

@James like like I miss read the post by mark on his Kickstarter page. what he actually said was we will get the BOM today this will be great but will not help you with the color wires to use.

if you would like I can make you a set of wires that match what I am doing to the kits I am building once I have it done. (should be ready ship on or before Oct.18,2013)

My plan is to use more colors and make it even easier to follow I will also update the schematic so that each wire tells you it's color and length.

I could give you a set for $25 including Shipping in the US.

the two clear LEDs are Infrared LEDs but I do not know much more about them
the other two are smaller and black they are Inferred Detecters but again I have no info best be is to go back and email mark.

I have sent him sort emails about things that are missing on kits and he does not always reply back but I have received the parts in the main quickly.

Just keep it short cause I think running long hours and has been for a while:)

if you find you are stuck let me know and I will look for alternate sources I can do it but it would take alot of time without the part numbers.

I picked up a set of ir emiter/detector at my local Radio Shack... paid to much for em. Can find em cheap online

@James, do you have the Radio Shack part number?

 The only Pair I could find were T1.75 LED cases the Detector is smaller and would not fit.
were you able to find parts that fit in the holes on the Plastic 3d printed IR LED Bracket. I looked but I was not able to find any.

@Herb. Here is the part number 276-0142. 1pair. Infrared emitter and detector. As far as size to fit the plastic part , no the detector- black, is the same size as the emitter. Didn't buy it for that. Was going to see if I could hook em up to make the low pellet detector work.

Thanks James for the part number have you mad and stl file that holds them in the feed tube.
I bought mine with the low pellet detection option. however the tube with the detection leds is to short so it does not seat into the gray elbow correctly so I'm thinking I might make one that fits better.
but if you allready made one that would be much easier :)

Herb. No have not made am new stl. Was thinking of mounting them on the blue Pellet hopper... but havnt gotten around to finshing my build Yet. Holiday/work night tired...
