DFKDC BACK2SCHOOL BASH!

We are excited to announce our FIRST EVER Back to School Bash!   Come join us at Mad Rose Tavern as we kick off the school year with a dance party with the Despicable Me minions, on site hair cuts for kids (free with donation),   Nail art station for kids, Free snacks from 11 am - 12 pm and much more!   THIS FAMILY FUN DAY is open to ALL of our children participants, their sibilings, friends and families! We want to celebrate back to school WITH you and let you know about upcoming events we will be having--along with some free perks and fun activities for children! We will be raising money for Dreams for Kids DC AND On The Edge Children's Foundation (our 6 year Extreme Recess Waterskiing partner/sponsor)! Extreme Recess Soccer with DC UNITED!

Extreme Recess Therapeutic Horse Riding with Simple Changes!

Sunday, October 26th from 2 - 4 pm
Simple Changes is welcoming Extreme Recess Participants to their barn for a fun event!  Kids with physical and developmental disabilities will enjoy a therapeutic horse ride and more.  This is our second Extreme Recess Therapeutic Horse Ride and it should be a great experience as we can include more children and have even more fun activities! Extreme Recess Field Trip with the 76ers!

March 14, 2015

We have a special opportunity with the 76ers for a fun family weekend next March! Volunteers and participants will be able to participate in the "High Five Tunnel" where they will get to be ON THE COURT with the 76ers and high five the players as they come out -- parents will be able to capture this moment from DFKDC sponsored seats for the game! It is just a $30 donation fee (per person - child/adult/volunteer) to participate in this AND you will get a great seat for the game! This excursion will take place Saturday, March 14th, 2015 when the 76ers face the Brooklyn Nets! DFKDC will also organize other activities for families during the day! Please place your $30 donation (PER PERSON) to participate - in the note section of the sign up page, please indicate the names of the people who will be attending! PUT YOUR DEPOSIT DOWN AND CONFIRM YOUR SPOT ON THE COURT TODAY!

THANK YOU FOR COMING OUT TO THE 4th ANNUAL MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM FOR KIDS DC FUNDRAISER! This year, we were able to raise around $6,000 for our monthly adaptive clinics for children with disablities - we are still awaiting some donations and sponsorships that are coming in as we speak! Your money went toward putting on a wonderful golf clinic the day after at Stone Wall Golf Course! All children were treated to a bout with GOLFZILLA and a pasta dinner!

Furthermore, the funds we raised Saturday night will go toward funding our DC United soccer clinic on October 5th AND our therapeutic horse riding clinic on October 26th! Without your help, we could not create these life-changing and FREE experiences for hundreds of children with disabilities in the DC area!
