Come join us at Mad Rose Tavern as we kick off the school year with a dance party with the Despicable Me minions, on site hair cuts for kids (free with donation), Nail art station for kids, Free snacks from 11 am - 12 pm and much more! THIS FAMILY FUN DAY is open to ALL of our children participants, their sibilings, friends and families! We want to celebrate back to school WITH you and let you know about upcoming events we will be having--along with some free perks and fun activities for children! We will be raising money for Dreams for Kids DC AND On The Edge Children's Foundation (our 6 year Extreme Recess Waterskiing partner/sponsor)! Care Giver for a Young Teen with Down Syndrome (Alexandria, Virginia 22310)
We are looking for an active, cheerful, and lively person to work with our 14-year-old son with down syndrome. The duties include recreation, protective supervision, language and social skills development, simple academic lessons (home work), teaching self-help skills, and basic household chores. Working hours are between 2:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. on Monday to Friday. Location is at Franconia, Alexandria 22310. We prefer someone who has direct working experience with children with disabilities and their families.
Preferred Provider Qualifications:
? Has own transportation
? Active, cheerful, and loves to talk and play with children with special needs
? Has passion to work with children with special needs
? Has direct working experience with children with special needs
? Has working experience teaching life skills to children with special needs
? Can help us with the basic household chores
