Dear Dreams for Kids DC Family and Friends,

Thank you to everyone who came out Saturday morning to enjoy a day in the kitchen with &Pizza! We are so grateful to Steve, Kristin, Alia and Doug of &Pizza for making this happen for the second year in a row! Thank you to all the volunteers who braved the marathon traffic to take part in this exciting cooking clinic! You can find all of our photo on our Facebook page here!

2014 DFKDC FIFTH ANNUAL WING BOWL with Town Tavern and Phi Sig
Sunday, March 30th, 2014 from 12 - 6 p.m.
We invite ALL of our children and families to attend this exciting food and family fundraiser! Town Tavern DC is graciously hosting us for another year of wings, college basketball, and of course--witness the wing-eating champion take reign! We invite children and adults of all ages to consider entering the wing bowl! Winners will receive gift certificates and bragging rights! 2014 Extreme Recess Baseball with M-NCPPC!
Saturday, April 19th, 2014 from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
We need more volunteers for our upcoming baseball clinic! After a long wait, we are excited to say that baseball is back on our Extreme Recess roster! Thanks to Danella and M-NCPPC, DreamLeader Brody and the brothers of Beta Theta Pi at American University we are able to hold this bat-swinging adaptive clinic! Brainy Camps 2014 Summer Camps! We wanted to highlight an amazing organization that offers exciting camps that some of our families may want to participate in during the summer! Brainy Camps Association is a non-profit organization that provides residential summer camps, family retreats, leadership training and transitional youth programs for children with severe chronic health conditions. From epilepsy to youngsters with Asperger’s syndrome, Tourette syndrome, neurofibromatosis, sickle cell anemia, diabetes, congenital heart disease, heart  conditions that require pacemakers, ICDs or transplants, Down syndrome and hemiplegic/diplegic Cerebral Palsy. This year, the camps will include those with NF, diabetes and childhood obesity. Transportation is available from the Washington, DC area.
