We are so grateful to Steve, Kristin, Alia and Doug of &Pizza for making this happen for the second year in a row! We need more volunteers for our upcoming baseball clinic! After a long wait, we are excited to say that baseball is back on our Extreme Recess roster! Thanks to Danella and M-NCPPC, DreamLeader Brody and the brothers of Beta Theta Pi at American University we are able to hold this bat-swinging adaptive clinic! Brainy Camps 2014 Summer Camps! We wanted to highlight an amazing organization that offers exciting camps that some of our families may want to participate in during the summer! Brainy Camps Association is a non-profit organization that provides residential summer camps, family retreats, leadership training and transitional youth programs for children with severe chronic health conditions. From epilepsy to youngsters with Asperger’s syndrome, Tourette syndrome, neurofibromatosis, sickle cell anemia, diabetes, congenital heart disease, heart  conditions that require pacemakers, ICDs or transplants, Down syndrome and hemiplegic/diplegic Cerebral Palsy. This year, the camps will include those with NF, diabetes and childhood obesity. Transportation is available from the Washington, DC area.
