hi all

I'm trying to install ExpPascal Toolkit in my Lazarus environment

my version is:
lazarus 1.1 with fpc 2.6.1

I can't compile extp_ctrls.lpk package: in ExtP_Design_Ctrls, line
469, used component TCustomNotebook is deprecated as you can read in:
http://wiki.freepascal.org/Lazarus_0.99.0_release_notes#TCustomNotebook_was_moved_from_ExtCtrls_to_ComCtrls

However, using TCustomTabControl, I can compile this package. Anyway
in extp_proj.lpk I've found worse problems.

There will be updating ExtPascal Toolkit to compile with fpc 2.6.1?

thanks in advance

No.

ExtP Toolkit was a Phil Hess project, but he no longer has collaborated with this project.
I am accepting volunteers to take up this project and keep it updated.
For those who want to volunteer, I will give access to update the SVN

TIA,
Wanderlan

I only saw your post recently (nobody notified me that the Toolkit was broken).

I've made changes to two of the ExtPascal Toolkit packages that should allow you to compile and install them with Lazarus 0.9.31 and later. (Don't use with earlier versions of Lazarus.)

Note that these problems had nothing to do with ExtPascal, the Toolkit, or FPC, but rather are due to the mercurial nature of Lazarus, which regularly breaks packages that once compiled fine.

I've also made changes to Orpheus, which the ExtP_Grid package depends on. Again, same issue - broken by Lazarus.

Videos and additional material for the Toolkit is here:

Thanks.
