Dear Colleagues:

The International Conference on Innovations in Extension and Advisory Services: Linking Knowledge to Policy and Action for Food and Livelihoods, which was held in Nairobi, Kenya from 15th -18th of November 2011 was a great success. There was extensive coverage on newspaper, TV, Radio and online media channels. The feedback from viewers of the conference webcast and from conference delegates was overwhelming. We have received calls for such laudable and meticulously organized initiatives to be replicated in the future.

Judith,

It was good to see this record of achievement in so many formats. Many thanks for your relentless efforts to ensure the resounding success of this conference and indeed  the efforts of  the chair Mr Hailu, CTA and the Kenyan  ( local) planning committee.

I look forward to the continued momentum which has invigorated our global extension fraternity as a result of the conference.

I wish to ask whether I have permission to place your message / or its relevant contents on our local FAO list serve in the Caribbean. It would be important to have the wider community know of the details albeit having regard to their own interest by viewing the website or listening to the media.

On another matter, did we have reports from all field trips and can they be placed on the site for perusal and study? I note the field trip overviews but I could not find field trip reports.

 Regards

Dear Ms. Francis:

Greetings from Belize!

Thanks for the information.

I am writing my Conference Report as requested by my sponsor, GFRAS.

The Conference was a great success. I am grateful for the opportunity to have participated in such an interesting, informative and rewarding event.

Please note that both Belize and Nicaragua are in Central America. Belize is a member of CARICOM and SICA, both regional organizations. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Best wishes in your endeavors.
